When someone is aggressive and wants to argue, do you argue with them or try to change the subject or diffuse the situation?

I will still argue with people these days but only in certain circumstances, because otherwise I just have no interest in that crap anymore. I like my days to be happy and go smoothly as possible

I avoid the discussion at all times. If the person keeps pushing it, i get hostile towards the person because i dont fucking care about the subject. Most likely it is about politics and i dont care about politics

ransom0374

U sounded angry typing that

edgarjungle

I had a friend that kept on being angry at people around him when he was drunk because he was a conspiracy theorist He is going to jail because he keeps on threatening the local politicians "In the name of free speech" EDIT: Dont worry, im not the angry one

johnnyjohnfrommars

I just say, "Forget it. I don't care." And walk away because, I don't care.

I change the subject if I know the argument wont go anywhere

chixieroixmr4real

i do my best to diffuse the situation / if there's no reason to argue/ don't / for safety if nothing else

Puzzled_Cheetah8390

Depends on the situation. It's rarely wise to argue in an open forum in a professional setting, it makes you look like a weak 12 year old to respond to someone's aggression with more aggression. Private life on the other hand is... like stuff doesn't *matter* too much there. If you feel like an argument, go for it. Better to have an argument than end up resenting that shit.

Say “don’t raise your voice, strengthen your argument”.
